Getting started

Quickstart

All the key steps in one place — sign in, create and publish an agent, then start learning from real conversations.

From nothing to live

  1. Sign in to the app.

copadre is passwordless — sign in with a passkey or a magic link sent to your email. Everyone in your team gets their own login.

    Open the app →

  2. Add your Claude API key.

copadre runs on your own Claude key. Paste it in settings where we encrypt it and save it.

    Get your API key →

  3. Build an agent.

Write the agent’s instructions, pick its Claude model, and name it. Add a warm ice-breaker for when a chat starts and a placeholder to prompt users. Start with the starter agentimport it and edit from there.

Build it in the app →

  4. Test in preview, then publish.

Save draft agent definitions then use preview chat to test. When you’re ready publish your changes to make them live.

  5. Copy your embed snippet and paste it on your site.

Each agent has its own one-line <script> snippet. Paste it into your webpage or app to add the copadre chat that connects to your agent.

    Add your first agent →

  6. Lock it to your domains, then style it.

Set your allowed domains so only your sites can use your agents, then add styling. To get started quickly, use the sample CSS as a base and customise to suit your brand.

    Style the widget →

  7. Review conversations — and close the gaps.

Back in the app, watch real conversations come in and check notifications from your agents.

Running more than one agent? A concierge can route visitors to the right specialist automatically. When an agent gets stuck, copadre surfaces the out-of-knowledge question so you can add training — a quick edit, published, and your agent works better next time.
